I wish there were more place like this in the area! Be Well strikes a great balance between healthy (smoothies, salads, lots of stuff with kale) and indulgent (tuxedo cups, cakes, tarts). My mom has celiac, so I appreciate their efforts to offer a number of gluten-free options. I tried one of the GF muffins last weekend (zucchini raspberry), and it was phenomenal! I couldn't even tell it was gluten free. They also have a number of vegan options, which (although I'm not a vegan) I think is great. I also enjoy the vibe, which is laid back and cool. With so many cheesy/overly commercial options in the area (neon signs, cartoony marketing, blehhhh), this is a breath of fresh air.

After whoever took over Santiago's from its original owner left the shop in shambles, the folks behind Be Well have really spruced the place up complete with an expansive food and beverage menu (featuring breakfast sandwiches, bagels, pastries, desserts, and even smoothies) and a comfortable seating area! More importantly, they're open until around 6pm on weekdays, like a coffee house should be. As few places of consequence exist in Huntingdon Valley, I'm happy to say that Be Well earns a spot on that list. I shall return!

Kid friendly and comfortable with amazing baked goods, who could ask for anything more?!?! The coffee is good, the smoothies killer and the food amazing. Try the "quizza" - the yummy love child of quiche + pizza well seasoned and loaded with the veggies and other scrumptious toppings. They also have lots of gluten free and vegetarian options. We are so glad they joined the neighborhood!

The name of this place is not an accident. You go in there, and you'll be well taken care of when it comes to taste, nutrition and options. The staff is pleasant. And the patrons are very friendly. Be Well is a terrific addition to the neighborhood!

Very nice atmosphere.. Love the barista burrito with turkey bacon. I've had it on both my visits and it was consistently good. Do yourself a favor and give it a try

4.5 stars. A little hipster, and likely to be field with high school students on any given afternoon, but Be Well is a great addition to the area for fresh and delicious food, generally healthy(if you don't go to the sweets counter that is), that won't break the budget. Went for the first time a few days ago, but now probably my go-to spot for breakfast or lunch. Think of it like a tastier panera; You've got salads, wraps, paninis, and two breakfast menus, one for all day and one only before 11:30am(1:30 on the weekends). Here's what we got. BLT Avocado(4/5): I usually have reservations about turkey bacon, but they gave 3-4 large slices of it on this sandwich and it actually tasted pretty good. The avocado, tomato, and spinach were fresh as always and I actually quite enjoyed the chipotle aioli and lemon dressing that came with the spring mix. A sandwich AND a salad, so this is certainly a good option. I just wish they had toasted the bread...but I feel like you can ask them to do that. Butternut Bean Burrito(5/5): Get this. It's hot pressed so it comes to your table crispy and warm, and the filling just works. If you want, add chicken and substitute the mozzarella for feta, it's not just one of the best vegetarian dishes, but one of the best brunch dishes I've had lately. Chicken Apple Cheddar(3/5): A little disappointing. The ingredients were all fresh, but the ratio was a bit off. Too much apple, not enough chicken and honey mustard. The panini was pressed fine though, so if you are craving one i would opt for one of the pesto based ones instead. If you feel like you've gotten some good food karma points for eating healthy, have no fear! They have a decently sized but fantastic looking variety of baked goods too, to royally ruin your diet again. We tried the brownie cookie sandwich with salted caramel creme inside, and the flavors were perfectly balanced(not overly sweet). My only complaint is that it was harder than I expected when I first bit into it, but as we left it on the plate it warmed up and become soft and chewy as I prefer it to be(More like the texture of an oatmeal creme pie). Can't wait to try out more of their cakes and tarts, and especially their breakfast only menu, which has a lot of dishes under $5!

I've been to Be Well Bakery & Cafe three weekends in a row- now that I've discovered it! It's located in a nice little parking lot, with lots of trees and places to sit outside. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, and they're such a good price for what you get, and for getting to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. The chipotle sauce on the breakfast sandwiches (Barista's breakfast wrap, and others) is DELICIOUS and Its hard to think about anything else while consuming it... The iced coffee is also really good. I haven't had a pastry that I've been absolutely crazy about yet, but the gluten free chocolate chip banana bread was good! I keep wanting to try the Ryan's Breakfast, but its hard to say no to the Barista Wrap with its tasty avocados and chipotle sauce. I will be back soon! Oh, and they also have free wifi and a good amount of tables. :)

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we stopped in this small café, although we shouldn't have been with all the good reviews. My wife is from Northeast Philadelphia and has passed this place many times. Thought we'd give it a try for breakfast. Awesome. Fun ambiance. Great coffee. We both had lattes which tasted like the barista really cared about the quality and really put some art and heart in it. She had a bagel, I had the Barista Burrito, which was awesome: fresh avocado, lettuce, kale, a soft cooked egg, and added turkey bacon for $1. A side of fresh fruit topped it off perfectly. We'll be back.

This has always been a cute, homey cafe, and it is now much improved under new ownership. Instead of tables, it has seating areas with shabby-chic sofas and upholstered chairs. Love the orange floral sofa area (orange is the happiest color, after all). This is the best cup of Joe in HV, which truly is a culinary wasteland. Smooth, deep and without any unpleasant after-taste. The baked treats, by and large, have eye-appeal, and if your timing is quite right you will snag a just-out-of-the-oven muffin or scone. Delish. The scones, the dropped instead of the inferior formed style (e.g, Starbucks), are not too sweet. The beautiful irregular crust is golden and crumbly, and it yields to a moist and tender interior. Scone perfection. Worth a stop.

This place is awesome! I haven't had such a good latte since I was in New York at a trendy coffee shop. Their food is great too! I had a barista burrito and it was delicious. I finished off with some coconut cake (with a cream cheese frosting which I'm not the biggest fan of but was still good) and took some cupcakes (peanut butter and salted caramel) home. Just to warn, it gets very busy on a Saturday morning. I will be visiting very very soon!

This is the best cafe in the area. I love the service and the owners really care about the patrons. Prices are great for what you get: very healthy and fresh entrees and wonderful baked goods included lots of gluten free. Clientele includes all ages. My little granddaughter loved the play area. Free samples. Even though it is popular I always get a table. Been practically living here for the last few weeks while visiting from Boston. Also very friendly to me about hanging my art. What a great place. Wish there was one like it in Boston! Wendy

Came here recently for a party and had a taco bar set up. With the grilled veggies to go with the beef and chicken, it really was a hit. The desserts were also extremely good - especially the "1-bite" chocolate cakes. Their chalkboard menu featured some really good sounding sandwiches, so I'll have to try and come back. I'm told a lot of people come here regularly, so the food must be good! If you don't mind mismatched utensils and plates and appreciate a small business owner trying to make it in the food industry, Be Well Café fits the bill.

Though the workers were nice and friendly and the atmosphere was nice and welcoming, I have to say the food wasn't disappointed nor amazing. It was ok. The only reason why I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of 3 is because of the coffee drink they had - can't recall the name - but it was good. Nice place to hang out and meet friendly people.

Wow!! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the prices are perfect! It's gourmet food that caters to a wide variety of pallets done right. If you haven't gone yet, then go. Been hear few times already. And was never disappointed with the food, I Got the, Egg & Cheese Sandwich, comes with Two eggs with cheddar served on choice of bagel, wrap, or bread. I got it on a bagel. And i added a fruit cup to go along with it. And another good breakfast I Tryed was: Ryan's Breakfast, Sautéed kale, onions, peppers, and mushrooms topped with 2 over easy eggs and served with a fruit cup. And with my breakfast I add a large house blend coffee. And to top it off, that everything was so good. I got a Caesar Salad to go for later that day. Romaine with parmesan, seasoned croutons, and creamy caesar dressing, and was definitely good. Still fresh!! Cant wait to go back again and try something esle diffrent. It's in a nice location. Looking forward to the summer time to beable to sit outside and enjoy a good breakfast.

Although some may find it best dipped I am madly in love with the Lemon cookies. The butternut bean burrito has dual purpose as breakfast or lunch in my world. This is a local gem not be missed!

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT. I found this place from Yelp and fell in love as soon as I took the first bite! I am not a healthy eater or a vegetarian. Usually I would never even try a place like this but I had to try it since it had 5 stars. My first time in there Ryan the owner, who knows me by name now, asked if it was my first time there and gave me a free healthy cookie to try. I love wraps so the first one I tried was the California Wrap with chicken. AMAZING! Then the next time I tried the Chipolte Wrap... JUST AS AMAZING. When I go here with my GF we usually get one of each and split each wrap. Then I started to go there more and more and tried the Barista Breakfast Wrap... SOOOO GOOD!! Esp with their coffee!!! My new favorite breakfast spot. Recently I have adventured into trying their salads... The Maddie Salad!!! So good with out the onions... Im not a big fan of red onions because of the after taste you get but the salad is awesome with chicken. All the deserts look soooo good! I have tried a couple of things and all of them were fantastic! I have brought so many people here and have never had a complaint.... I hooked everyone at my job to this place and they cant get enough! My boss loves the smoothie "The Boss" and "Karma" sounds about right lol! Im so glad this place is so close to my job! Again...this is not my usual place... If this was a social hang out I would not fit in lol but I can not get enough of the food!! Give this place a try. It does need a little upgrade in furniture and lay out of the place... it can get super packed in there with no place to sit but I would eat here standing up! So instead of going to wawa please eat local and give this place a try... you will not regret it!

This is a great, local coffee shop with friendly staff and clientele. The interior is unique, and the movable tables and couches encourage conversation and group gatherings. The prices are a bit high, but the food is worth it. You get big servings with healthy, tasty ingredients. Never before has a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel made my stomach feel so great afterwards!

So so delicious every time! I discovered Be Well when passing through town once a few months ago and couldn't wait to have an excuse to come back to the area again! The staff are super genuinely friendly and so accommodating with their creative and healthful options. I just had breakfast there today and was getting ready to drive a long distance, but wasn't sure what to do with my leftover fruit cup. Ryan was so kind to combine it with frozen bananas and almond milk and make a travel size smoothie for me for the road! Super great people, wishing them all the best and lots of success in the future.

Everything is tasty yet healthy for you here and they have great shakes too. The butternut squash, black bean burito with Chicken and a Curious George to wash it down is my usual order. Their 'Super Salad' is a great thing to pick up if you were in a rush with time, since it is pre made daily sitting behind the glass.

Be Well Café and Bakery offers healthy options and a cozy café atmosphere that's usually only found in trendy Center City neighborhoods. I can not say enough about how happy I am to have stumbled upon this place, It's awesome!! The food is so fresh and super yummy and prepared pretty quickly if you're in a hurry. I recently discovered this place so I haven't tried it all but the wraps are great as are their salads. (My favorite wrap is the cranberry walnut wrap... try it, you won't regret it). Their coffees and lattes are delicious and although I haven't tried them myself, my friend adores their homemade soups. And if you have time to sit down and eat, their breakfasts are really good too. I highly recommend Adriann's Garden Eggs or the Green Eggs Wrap. And then there is desserts! Decadent Tuxedo Cups which for those of you don't know is a brownie base filled with different kinds of creamy mousse. They also have cakes, torts, cookies, pies, etc... Everything I have tried so far is excellent. Be Well's pies... Well that brings me around to their customer service. Weird segway I know but you'll get it in a minute. I ordered a Chocolate Pecan Pie for Thanksgiving. It was sleeting and cold and I got my pie and quickly ran back to my car. Only after getting home did I notice it was the wrong pie. A Mixed Berry pie which is, I'm sure, very tasty but I have two people with berry allergies and the Chocolate Pecan Pie was special for my niece. Anyway, I called the store just to leave a message about the mix-up, it was 3:30, they closed at 2:00 that day, and was surprised to get a person. Not only did he apologize for the mix up but he hand delivered a Pecan Pie to my house 45 mins away. Probably took him a little longer with the bad weather. I told him it wasn't necessary but he insisted it was no problem. I had always had great customer service but this was above and beyond what I ever expected. So if you're anywhere near the vicinity of this café, do yourself a huge favor and stop in!

Went there for the first time based off of Yelp reviews - glad we did! Place was really nice, comfortable atmosphere. Tons of baked goods on display - everything looked awesome. My husband had a mocha cupcake and hot chocolate and I had a cream filled brownie cookie and black decaf - we were both impressed. The prices were a bit high for the baked goods, but the rest of the menu, including drinks, looked to be quite reasonable. I will be going back! **Their coffee was some of the best I have ever had. I drink it black, so when it has a great flavor, I know it.

Since I'm sitting here enjoying my vanilla latte after eating the delish pear, walnut, and chicken salad, I thought I'd post this review! First time here and found by accident. Really cute, artsy, and comfortable. Food I had was great and the baked goods in the case look very yummy. Workers look happy! Everyone is nice. Glad I stopped in.

This place made me smile all over my face!!! Honestly, I was headed to a 'local' Starbucks when I jus happened upon this place...Very cozy, warm and quite refreshing!!! Nice 'homey' feel...I was having a rough start after a loooong night with an upset toddler and just walking in this place brought a smile to my face! I have already recommended others check this out and I will be back!

Wow so glad places like this still exists. It was a great discovery accidentally made the other day. Very welcoming atmosphere. Unique menu, decor, and activities. Love the fact that they had a blue grass bad come in one night. Love that they encourage you to recycle. Love that they have an epic connect four competition. Locally owned places like these should be supported more often. Ryan (front counter and owner) was very friendly as well. I would suggest everyone to check this place out.

I heard horrid things about what happened to Santiago's after it changed hands, but I never checked it out--my friends refused to go there, so I assume it must have been bad. Now, the place has been completely changed. I don't know what it was like before, but I really like what is here now. It has a "healthy" theme to it...I'm not sure how healthy the things are (lots of sweet baked goods, and even if they're less sweet than the mainstream, they're still sweet), but I have been happy with what I ate here. I really like the atmosphere; it's super cozy, and creative too. The people who work here seemed very nice too. I have one major complaint about this place: their hours are extremely minimal. I'm not quite sure what sort of audience they want to serve, but they don't serve me well at all. I'd be most inclined to come here in the evening or on weekends, but this place closes at 6PM weekdays, 2PM on Saturday, and is closed on sunday. Bah! How crappy. Really, how crappy. There's a huge gap in the Bryn Athyn area of a lack of a place where you can hang out that is not church property, outdoors, or someone's house. The closest alternative is probably one of the few Starbucks in not-so-nearby suburbs, unless you count All Ways Cafe which is more of a restaurant than a coffee shop. I would like to see this place somehow figure out how to stay open later and get the people coming here later to support staying open later. Yes, they just opened, and maybe they "can't afford it", but I know I'd be in here with groups of people fairly often if they were open later, and I don't even live in Bryn Athyn. They could afford it if they could figure out how to bring the people in here so they were actually making money by staying open longer hours. Perhaps they can try having various events and such here to build community and get people coming here as a place to hang out in the evenings and on weekends? Until then, this place will just be a place that I think is kinda cool but can almost never get to.
